Steve Ussery played drums, recorded, and produced all of the music in Turning Blue. In addition,he also played Grady(a role he was born to play).
I have been playing drums for over 30 years. My greatest influences are John Bohnam, Bill Bruford, and a host of British hard rock bands. In the Coachella Valley, I have played with the John Stanley King Band, Bob Mercer Band, Big Happy and, with the Michael James Band, hosted an open jam at Durty Nelleys. I have taught geography and history for eighteen years. When not playing drums or teaching, I enjoy surfing and kayak fishing.
John Kelley Brown wrote and played guitar on two of the four songs featured in Turning Blue.
I’ve been playing guitar for over 35 years. After 20 years as an engineer I decided to return to my first love,guitar, so I spent 18 months studying guitar at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood. I also have a business, Kaliphoria Music, selling my own line of guitar amplifiers.
